I'm 41. There are days that I feel like life has passed me by, like I've missed the big calling God had for me. There are times that I question the how and why like Moses did. I don't always see the big picture in the daily laundry pile, dishes or vacuuming. However, I know His promise to me is that He will fulfill His purpose for me.
Then, there are days that I know I'm in my prime in my walk with Him. My twenties were an awesome time of growth in the Lord. It was where I learned to lean on Him for all of my provision, and direction. I look at my thirties as the desert land, where I wandered aimlessly, hoping to find the promise land. Though they may seem like "wasted" years, I know that God uses all things in our lives. Not a moment wasted.
I'll tell you, I was excited to turn 40. I had so much hope that this would be the best decade yet. It has not disappointed. Yes, I've had valleys, but I've been able to walk through them quickly, and see the goodness of the Lord through it all. I have great hope that God is surely at work in my life at all times, through all things.
God is not finished with me. I am just getting to my prime. I'm more comfortable in my own skin, and a lot more confident that He is ABLE to do what seems impossible.
Philippians 1:6 "And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."
Friend, God is not finished with you either. If you are feeling like life has passed you by, and there is no hope for your future, let me remind you of Psalm 138:8. He will fulfill His purpose for you. He will not forsake the work of His hands. He loves you. Your story is needed. There is someone somewhere who needs to see the hope of glory in YOU!
Father God, thank You for being true to Your word. Thank You for not abandoning the work of Your hands, and not forsaking us. You are the author and finisher of our faith. We trust that you will fulfill your purpose for us. We leave our hopes and dreams in Your hands to do with them as You will, and to mold our desires into what You desire for us. We thank You that every good and perfect gift comes from You, God. We glorify You today, and thank You for being faithful to Your promises. In Jesus Name, Amen!

Yes, you will and Yes, He will! I love your spirit in this post. I pray with you today. THANK YOU!

I may not be doing what I envisioned doing with my life, but I know I'm doing what God envisioned me doing :). Thanks for linking up today!
ReplyDeleteAmen, sister! He is not finished with us! That was a word I needed to hear, Anita "I'm not doing what I envisioned for me, but I know I'm doing what He envisioned for me." WOW! Thanks so much for stopping by!
