He is Our Freedom

Can you imagine being so hungry for a better freedom, for a better life, for Jesus, that you would risk everything to gain it?

In March of this year, a home in Houston was raided by government agencies.  It was a 2 bedroom house in a run down neighborhood.  In that tiny house, they found over 100 people looking for a better life huddled up in there.  100 people looking for freedom.  There were men, women and children.

They want a better life, so they pay, or their family pays a coyote to bring them to the United States.  What they don't realize is they risk everything and gain nothing in the process.  I can't even imagine being that desperate for a better life.  It breaks my heart and it is happening everyday.

I'm not going to argue the legalities, the rights or the opinions that people have about that subject.  I just ask that we remember that they are sheep without a shepherd.  They need Jesus just as much as we do.  It's all about giving the same grace given to us.

Back to the point... Jesus paid the ultimate price for all of us to be free.  It's only in Him that true freedom is found.  It's only in Him that we can walk that freedom out and offer it to others.  Let His light shine in me so that others can see the hope of glory!
