Each night, before my boys go to sleep, they ask me to pray for them. They are usually looking for the comfort of God's promise to watch over them while they sleep. I pray that the Angels of the Lord are encamped about them, that they are His beloved, and He promises His beloved sweet sleep. I pray that He will keep watch over them and be with them wherever they go.
I love that time with my boys, and that they are learning the truths of His promises at an early age. The truth is that we all need to be reminded that He is always watching over us, and not in a creepy big brother way. He's watching carefully and intently. Nothing gets to us without Him seeing it first. He is never far, just call upon Him.
